The Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency, NEMSA, has reaffirmed its commitment to closer collaboration with the FGN Power Company to improve safety, enforce technical standards, and boost efficiency in Nigeria’s power sector.
This was made known during a courtesy visit by the management of FGN Power Company, led by its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Kenny Anuwe, to the agency’s headquarters in Abuja.
Speaking during the visit, the Managing Director of NEMSA and Chief Electrical Inspector of the Federation, Olusegun Adesayo, emphasized that strong collaboration among stakeholders is critical to achieving sustainable growth in the electricity industry.
He described FGN Power Company as a strategic partner, particularly in managing key power assets and improving generation capacity.
Adesayo also reiterated NEMSA’s mandate to enforce compliance with technical standards and ensure the safety of lives and property across the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry.
In his remarks, Anuwe said the visit was aimed at congratulating NEMSA’s new leadership and reaffirming the company’s commitment to deeper collaboration. He added that the partnership would focus on strengthening transmission and distribution networks, building capacity for operators, and improving coordination across the sector.
FGN Power Company, established by the Federal Government, is responsible for implementing the Presidential Power Initiative, aimed at transforming Nigeria’s power infrastructure and enhancing electricity supply nationwide.
