Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested two suspected Boko Haram collaborators in Yobe State for allegedly supplying hard drugs and other logistics to terrorists, with a large quantity of suspected Indian hemp among items recovered.
The suspects were arrested on Monday, August 3, during a cordon-and-search operation conducted by troops of 159 Battalion, Sector 2, in Geidam Town, following credible intelligence.

Operation HADIN KAI Captain Mohammed Goni, indicated that the suspects allegedly supplied drugs and other logistics to Boko Haram terrorists, thereby facilitating their activities.
Troops recovered a large quantity of suspected Indian hemp, Pregabalin capsules, Piscof syrup, several mobile phones, power banks, knives, scissors, torchlights, lighters and cigarette rolls.
Also recovered were a National Identity Card, Permanent Voter’s Card, ATM cards and fourteen thousand, five hundred and thirty naira.
In a separate operation in Monguno, Borno State, troops of Sector 3 Garrison, working with 242 Reconnaissance Battalion, arrested two suspected ISWAP logistics suppliers.
The suspects were apprehended at about 3:30 p.m. following sustained surveillance of terrorist supply routes.
During preliminary interrogation, the suspects allegedly confessed to conveying food and other supplies to ISWAP terrorists operating in Kwatan Dowoshi Village, Kukawa Local Government Area.
The troops recovered 11 cartons and 192 sachets of assorted biscuits, a carton of Peak milk, 10 mudu of sugar, nine bars of soap, six headlamps, two bags and 16 rolls of sachet garri.
Other recovered items included lighters, two mobile phones, an assault knife, a charm belt, prayer beads, herbal medicine and six thousand, six hundred naira.
Meanwhile, troops of 222 Battalion intercepted 20 suspected family members of Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad, JAS, terrorists along the Gezuwa axis in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State.
The group comprised nine women, two men, eight female minors and one male minor.
They have since been handed over to the 21 Military Intelligence Regiment for further profiling and necessary action.
The military said the operations demonstrate the effectiveness of intelligence-led efforts by Operation Hadin Kai to disrupt terrorist logistics, dismantle support networks and deny Boko Haram and ISWAP access to critical supplies.
It urged members of the public to continue providing timely and credible information to security agencies to support ongoing counter-terrorism operations across the North-East.
