The Nigerian Air Force has launched a fresh offensive against terrorists, killing several fighters in a precision airstrike deep inside the Sambisa Forest.
The operation, carried out under Operation HADIN KAI, targeted terrorist hideouts in the Yuwe axis following credible intelligence and surveillance confirming their presence.
According to a statement by the Director Public relations and Information Air commodore Ehimen Ejodame , the military air assets struck fortified structures and bunkers, destroying key logistics hubs and neutralising multiple terrorist elements, according to post-strike assessments.
The statement added that the sustained air campaign is putting increasing pressure on terrorist networks, forcing them into disarray and limiting their ability to operate.
Reacting, Chief of the Air Staff,Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, reaffirmed the Air Force’s commitment to maintaining relentless, intelligence-led operations until all threats are neutralised.
The Air Force also assured that all missions are carried out with strict adherence to rules of engagement, with efforts to minimise civilian harm.
