The United States has delivered military equipment to the Nigerian Air Force under a Foreign Military Sales agreement aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s capacity to combat terrorism and other security threats.
The equipment was transported to Nigeria aboard a U.S. Air Force C-17 aircraft over the weekend.
The U.S. Air Force says the delivery further deepens the security partnership between Washington and Abuja and will support Nigeria’s ongoing efforts to counter terrorism in the region.
The delivery comes amid continued efforts by Nigeria and its international partners to strengthen operational capabilities and improve responses to terrorist threats across the country and the wider West African region.
The United States says the latest support reflects its commitment to working with Nigeria on shared security priorities.
