The Nigerian Air Force has intensified its counter-terrorism operations in the North-East, recording another major success in the ongoing fight against insurgency.
The Air strikes carried out by the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI have destroyed terrorist structures and logistics hubs in the Mandara Mountains, a known hideout for insurgents.
According to a statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the operation took place on April 27, 2026, in Guduf, following credible intelligence and detailed aerial surveillance that confirmed the presence of active terrorist facilities in the area.
According to the statement, the mission was carefully coordinated, with precision targeting to ensure that only hostile elements and their infrastructure were hit, while avoiding civilian harm.
The strikes reportedly neutralised several terrorist elements and destroyed key facilities used to support their operations, significantly weakening their ability to carry out attacks.
This latest development highlights the Air Force’s sustained efforts to deny insurgents freedom of movement and disrupt their activities across the region.
For residents in affected communities, the operation signals continued military commitment to improving security and restoring normalcy.
The Nigerian Air Force has equally reaffirmed its resolve to sustain the momentum, as part of broader efforts by the military to safeguard lives and protect the nation’s territorial integrity.
