Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, paid an on-the-spot assessment visit to the site of an industrial-scale clandestine methamphetamine laboratory uncovered in a remote forest in Ijebu East Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The operation led to the recovery of 2,419.48 kilograms of methamphetamine valued at over N480 billion and the arrest of a suspected drug kingpin, three Mexican nationals, and six Nigerian accomplices linked to the illicit drug production facility.
