Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have recorded major successes in ongoing offensives against terrorist groups in parts of the North-East under Operation Desert Sanity Five.
In coordinated ground and air operations across the Timbuktu axis and the Bulabulin Forest area, security forces dismantled several terrorist enclaves and neutralised a number of insurgents.
At the Bulabulin Forest axis, troops, working alongside the Civilian Joint Task Force and supported by air strikes, cleared multiple hideouts and engaged terrorists in a fierce battle at Malam Shiri village. Eleven insurgents were confirmed killed, while others fled with injuries. Weapons, motorcycles, ammunition, and materials for improvised explosive devices were recovered, with terrorist logistics significantly disrupted.
In a separate operation along the Wajiroko–Sabon Gari corridor in the Timbuktu axis, troops again engaged the insurgents with air support, neutralising several fighters and recovering arms, ammunition, and communication equipment.
The Air Component of the operation provided real-time intelligence and precision strikes, playing a key role in the success of the missions.
Troops have since launched follow-up operations in surrounding areas to track fleeing terrorists and prevent regrouping.
Military authorities say the sustained offensive demonstrates growing operational strength and continued dominance over terrorist elements in the region.
