The Transmission Company of Nigeria has dismissed claims by the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company linking a power outage in parts of Kogi State to a fault on its network.
In a statement issued Wednesday, by the General Manager Public Affairs Ndidi Mbah, TCN confirmed that there is no fault, outage, or maintenance activity on its transmission infrastructure along the Lokoja axis.
The company maintained that all feeders at its Lokoja Transmission Substation are fully operational and supplying bulk electricity to AEDC as required.
The areas reportedly affected by the outage include Zango, Shetima, Apansede, Phase I and II, Crown Estate, and neighbouring communities.
TCN firmly rejected any responsibility for the disruption, insisting that its network in the region remains stable and capable of delivering power for onward distribution.
The company also urged stakeholders in the power sector to verify information before attributing service failures, warning that inaccurate claims could mislead the public and erode confidence in the system.
Reaffirming its commitment to transparency and efficient service delivery, TCN said it will continue to work with partners across the electricity value chain to improve power supply nationwide.
