Another major blow to a transnational drug cartel!

NDLEA has intercepted 1.63 million pills of tramadol (250mg) hidden in secret compartments beneath two trailers travelling from Togo through Benin Republic into Nigeria.

The intelligence-led operation led to the arrest of two 22-year-old drivers on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway as the trucks headed for Kano.

This comes just days after 558,900 tramadol pills were recovered from another truck on the same route, with investigations confirming all three seizures are linked to the same transnational drug trafficking syndicate operating across the Togo–Benin–Nigeria corridor.

Watch how the operation unfolded. 🎥
