The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, AEDC, has announced a three-day power disruption in parts of the Federal Capital Territory from Friday, October 23rd to Sunday, October 25th.
The company says the disruption is to allow for the relocation of some thirty-three-kilovolt electricity towers at Kukwaba due to ongoing road construction in the FCT.
In a notice to customers, AEDC says affected areas will experience a complete power outage on Friday, while electricity supply will be restricted through load shedding on Saturday and Sunday.
The affected communities include Durumi, Lugbe FHA, Kuchingoro, Kapuwa Village, Zhidu Village, Peace Village, Karinmajini, T-Pumpy, CRD Estate and areas around the American International School, National Stadium, Airport Road and AMAC.
AEDC has apologised for the inconvenience and appealed to residents for patience and understanding during the maintenance exercise.
